Mission
- The mission of the Institute for Countermeasures Against Agricultural Bioterrorism (ICAB) is to organize and expand interdisciplinary and inter institutional science-based research, extension and service programs that contribute to preventing and minimizing the impact of intentional bioterrorism activities or accidental introduction of biothreat agents against the United States’ agriculture and food supply.
- The Institute is an internal and external focal point for related activities, including the National Center for Foreign Animal and Zoonotic Disease Defense, the National Center for Food Protection Defense, and contributions to the Governor’s Emergency Response Team and support to state and national food and agriculture industries.
